All
of us as human beings have the need at times to discuss things with
some one, to express our feelings and our point of view, to simply
“be heard”.
At times we are in a state of conflict with other people and need
to discuss our situation with someone who in not directly involved.
At other times we are forced to confront tragedy or changed circumstances
that have us feeling powerless and vulnerable
As a skilled and properly trained Counsellor I am able to employ
communication skills honed over many years of practice to assist
you in expressing your personal viewpoint without judgement and
to assist you to try to take an alternative view of the situation
and resolve any difficulties.
I also attempt to give you the required skills to better cope with
any stressful conditions you may be experiencing.
So often when a mishap or tragedy occurs we feel as though we are
the only person who has ever experienced such a thing. In fact most
people will go through similar times and situations where we feel
as though we need help to cope.
It is my vocation to give you that help. We are all individuals
and we all react differently to situations that appear to be abnormal,
at the time.
By
working with you I attempt to assist you to better understand the
motivations for your reactions and to make positive changes to the
manner in which you both view and react to the aforesaid situations.
In short, “Come in, relax, converse”.
